Jackson Rancheria Miwuks Hope to Extend Park Restoration Project to Schools

Amador County Unified School District Board of Directors on Wednesday heard a report that the Jackson Rancheria Miwuk Indians are hoping to extend their Parks Restoration Project to the schools.  Superintendent Dick Glock says that Adam Dalton, one of the tribe’s leaders, wants to meet with District Officials. Glock said Dalton and his family would like to see what they may be able to do for the District after they finish at DetertPark.  He said the tribe and the School District need to get together and discuss projects before the tribe can commit.  Glock will be bringing some items forward in the near future.  Board President Wally Upper said it was great news, he would like to see a proposal, and would like the School Board to offer the tribe support.
