A Rainy Weekend With No Major Problems

A Rainy Weekend With No Major Problems

The recent storms brought close to 9 inches of rain in upper Amador County and close to 4 inches throughout Jackson, Plymouth and Ione.  While no major problems were reported from the rains in Amador County, this weekend’s weather caused minor flooding, debris, and trees down across some Calaveras county roadways. Highway 26 from east of Mokelumne Hill to Jesus Maria Rd was affected by flooding and debris across the roadway especially in the burn scar area. The high winds caused some trees to fall across Calaveras roadways too.  All Amador and Calaveras county roads are currently open.  Remember to use caution when traveling in winter weather conditions, especially in the Butte Fire burn scar area. With clear skies forecast thru the week, the next chance of rain is expected early next week.
