Asphalt Truck Crash Yesterday Causes Just Minor Injuries

The asphalt truck crash that caused traffic problems most of yesterday on Highway 49 resulted in just minor injuries. According to the CHP, 40 year old Jeremy Sullivan of Sacramento was driving his big rig hauling asphalt northbound on Highway 49 down the grade between Mokelumne Hill and Electra Road and drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by 25 year old Kevin Teves of Sutter Creek. Sullivan then swerved back to the right and up an embankment, overturning the asphalt trailer. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and the roadway was blocked for an hour, then down to one lane traffic most of the day.
