Car Crash Saturday Leads to Major Injuries And Arrest 

Two people suffered major injuries and one was arrested in a car crash in Calaveras County Saturday night. The crash happened at 5:45 pm Saturday on Highway 26 at Campo Seco Turnpike. According to the CHP, 21 year old Nicholas Moore of West Point was driving Eastbound and reached down to adjust his stereo. He crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into a vehicle driven by 50 year old Kelli Eichler of Valley Springs. Moore and Eichler were taken to local hospitals with major injuries. Eichler was arrested for DUI as a result of the collision.
