ACPD and K-9 Siezed U-Haul Filled With Marijuana

Some alert Angels Camp Police officers and  K-9 seized more marijuana in Calaveras County over the weekend. Saturday night an Angels Police officer saw a guy gassing up a U-Haul truck and struck up a conversation. The man said he was moving to Southern California. The K-9 that was with the officer alerted to drugs in the back and the officer found more than 100 large plastic totes containing marijuana, each holding 15-20 pounds. The totes resembled those seized in a Calaveras Sheriff’s Office raid in San Andreas so the driver and the truck were turned over to the Sheriff’s Office. On Sunday, an officer pulled over a vehicle for expired tags and immediately smelled marijuana. A search turned up marijuana and firearms, all of which were seized. The driver and passenger, who were cited and released, said they were working at a cannabis processing facility.
