Local Man Faces 10 Year Prison Sentence For Fatal DUI

A Valley Springs man is facing 10 years in prison for a drunk driving crash last year that killed one friend and injured another. William Tyler Bolin of Valley Springs pleaded no contest recently to vehicular manslaughter for the crash in February of last year that killed Anna Carter. The California Highway Patrol reported that Carter and two men were all in the truck’s only passenger seat. Investigators said Bolin and all the others appeared to be intoxicated. None of them wore seatbelts. Carter was partially ejected from the truck and her head struck a utility pole. Bolin is scheduled to return to court later this month for sentencing.
