More Stolen Items Recovered

Jackson Police Department officials took a truckload of stolen items from a property in El Dorado County that they say are connected to a recent rash of burglaries in the county and the arrest of Lonnie Charles Downing of Jackson. Downing was arrested over the weekend in connection with a number of burglaries in Jackson, Sutter Creek and unincorporated Amador County. After further investigation, JPD investigators obtained a search warrant for a home in Omo Ranch. They served that search warrant with help from Amador County Sheriff’s Office and El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies. They found so many stolen items they needed to bring in a moving truck to haul it all back to the Police Department. They recovered electronics, jewelry, a wide range of tools, winter sporting equipment, silverware, clocks, and more. If you were the victim of a recent burglary or theft and have a report filed with any local law enforcement agency, you can check out the pile of stolen items to see if any of them are yours.
