Amador High Varsity Football Continues Historic Run This Friday

Amador High School’s Varsity football team continues their historic run this Friday. They’ll be playing the undefeated Mendota High school in a Section 6AA North playoff game, the winner of which moves on to the next bracket in the chase for a CIF title. KVGC caught up with head coach Bill Baker about last week’s win and this week’s game. Baker also wants to relay his deep appreciation for the camaraderie and support of the Calaveras High sports program, who are being gracious hosts for Friday’s game. Baker says the Calaveras folks have been incredibly supportive and helpful. The game is being played in Calaveras instead of at Amador due to the poor field conditions at Amador High. We’ve reached out to Amador County Unified School District officials for more information on the field.
