Weather Advisories For The Mother Lode

Weather Advisories For The Mother Lode

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Mother Lode through 4pm tonight along with a Wind Advisory from 4 pm this afternoon through midnight tonight.  Additionally, a Flood Watch has been issued for the Mother Lode from this evening through Thursday morning.  A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.  A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts and a Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 40 mph or higher are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for small cars and high profile vehicles. Snow levels are expected hover near 3000-3500 feet today, with lower levels possible at times.
