Serious Injuries in DUI Crash

Serious injuries and a criminal charge for a Sheep Ranch man who wrecked on New Years Eve afternoon. The crash happened at 3:40 Saturday afternoon on Highway 12 west of Highway 49. According to the CHP, 23 year old Jeremy Trotter was driving a van westbound on highway 12 at around 50 miles an hour. Because of his intoxication, Trotter allowed his vehicle to drift off of the side of the roadway, then overcorrected to the left and lost control. The van rolled down a steep embankment and Trotter, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected. He was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment and arrested for DUI.
