Storm Warning Update As Of 1530 (3:30pm)

The National Weather Service has lifted the Winter Weather Advisory for the Mother Lode, but both the Wind Advisory through midnight tonight and Flood Watch from this evening through Thursday morning remain.  A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based snow melt and the runoff, as the low snowfall turns to rain.  The Wind Advisory is warning of wind gusts of 40 mph or higher. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for small cars and high profile vehicles. Snow levels are expected hover near 4000 to 4500 feet tonight.
