Recycle That Christmas Tree

Recycle That Christmas Tree

Now that Serbian Christmas is almost here, or for those who have already taken down the family Christmas tree, Amador County Waste Management is offering free tree recycling.  The County in cooperation with both ACES and Vicini Brothers are offering this service again this year.  Trees can be dropped off at theWestover Field gravel parking lot until January 9th. Throughout the month of January tress can also be dropped off at either the Buena Vista Transfer Station daily from 9:00am—5:00pm, or the Pine Grove Transfer Station Tuesday through Saturday 9:00am—12pm & 1:00—4:00pm.  The Christmas trees are then recycled locally at the Vicini Brothers Green Waste Recycling Facility on Willow Creek Road and turned into landscape mulch and nutrient rich compost.  Trees can also so be taken directly to Vicini Brothers, but please call ahead.  So do your part to help keep Amador County beautiful by recycling your Christmas tree. It’s free!  Amador County thanks both ACES Waste Services and Vicini Brothers for providing this service to Amador County residents.   For more information, call the Amador County Waste Management Department at 2236429.
