Hercules Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

A Hercules resident was arrested Monday following a routine traffic stop for a minor violation at the Shell Gas Station in Sutter Creek.  According to the Amador Sheriff’s Offices, during the traffic stop, the arresting deputy discovered that the driver, 39 year old Charles Kente Willams, was on felony searchable probation out of Contra Costa County.  The deputy searched the car and found heroin as well as a loaded, stolen firearm which was hidden inside in the vehicle.  Willams was taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.
