ACBOS Place Temporary Ban On Pot Cultivation

ACBOS Place Temporary Ban On Pot Cultivation

The Amador County Board of Supervisors put into place a temporary ban on marijuana cultivation at their meeting yesterday. The board voted 4-0,with Board Chair Richard Forster absent, to put into place an emergency ordinance that temporarily bans all outdoor commercial cultivation of recreational marijuana. The temporary ban is in place for 45 days and is there just to put a hold on things until the Board has the opportunity to fully evaluate the issue. There will be public hearings and public input over that time frame and then the Board will vote on whether to extend the ban, rescind it or take some other action.
