Sutter Creek City Council Workshop

Sutter Creek City Council Workshop

At a special meeting on Tuesday evening, the Sutter Creek City Council conducted a Workshop to review city priorities and specific projects. At the top of the project list was completion of the General Plan Update, now scheduled for this coming summer. Other key items included the Wastewater Master Plan, a Capital Improvement Plan, Updated Improvement Standards, a Vacation Rental Ordinance, a Cannabis Ordinance, Parking Ordinance revisions, and a Sign Ordinance. Council Member Robin Peters suggested adding the Gold Rush Ranch project, Main Street bridge mitigation, and a future City-wide Museum at the Sutter Creek Grammar School. Ongoing operational issues included monitoring the City’s financial stability, support for the Knight Foundry, and an overhaul of the Wastewater Ordinance. Mayor Linda Rianda suggested including an action plan and due dates as part of the priorities list, as well as integrating the priorities into the budget process. City Manager Amy Gedney committed to providing a monthly up-date on the priorities to the City Council.
