American River Bank Awards Nearly $20,000 To Amador Nonprofits

American River Bank Awards Nearly $20,000 To Amador Nonprofits

Last night the American River Bank Foundation awarded close to $20,000 to 3 Amador County nonprofit organizations.  According to David Taber, President and CEO of American River Bank, the Foundation is committed to building up local communities by contributing financially to organizations that help the most vulnerable women and children.  Taber credits the generosity of bank employees, Board, clients, partners and sponsors for making it possible to donate a total of $130,000 throughout the banks service area this year. Locally, the Foundation granted the Amador County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) $ 8,500 to expand the volunteer program that serves foster youth who are in need of advocacy and support in court.  Hospice of Amador & Calaveras will receive $ 5,000 to fund the Grief-Busters program and Operation Care will receive $ 6,000 to help fund the Fresh Start program so that women leaving the shelter may obtain and sustain housing.  Established in July 2004 the Foundation has awarded $ 983,100 to 52 different organizations over the years.  For information on how to donate to the Foundation or apply for grant funding, visit americanriverbank.com.
