Amador Deputies Arrests Identity Theft Suspect

A Stockton man was arrested for identity theft, after passing the false information at the Jackson Rancheria casino. According to the Amador Sheriff’s Office 40-year-old Jatinder Singh was taken in to custody for identify theft, presenting false identification to a peace officer and burglary. Singh was in the casino trying to withdraw a significant amount of money using another person’s identification. An alert cashier determined something wasn’t right and the Sheriff’s dispatch. Deputies arrived and were able to track down the suspect and stop his car on New York Ranch Road. He was arrested after it was determined he fraudulently opened a line of credit at the casino the previous day using stolen identification information.
