Amador Sups Take Action To Keep Jail Expansion Moving Forward

The Amador County Board of Supervisors took several actions yesterday that keep the jail expansion project moving forward. The Board was first presented an overview of the design from architect firm Nacht and Lewis, who provide details on how the expansion would look and operation. They approved those designs after some discussion. They then moved forward with awarding a construction contract to Vanir Construction out of Sacramento. In other business, the board heard an update from County staff on the mid-year status of their budget. Most notable was that increasing expenses and decreasing revenues could result in budget deficits of around $1.8 million dollars over the next two fiscal years.
