Sheriff Ryan Will Run Again

Sheriff Ryan Will Run Again

Amador County Sheriff Martin Ryan will seek re-election. Currently serving his third term, Ryan made the announcement late yesterday. Sheriff Ryan says he feels that much has been accomplished thus far in his years in office, but there is always more that can be done and he believes he still has more to contribute to the Office and people of Amador County. One of the most respected men to hold the office of Sheriff in the state, Ryan is known for his ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Federal, State, County and City public safety partners. Citing programs like the Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement team (ACCNET), the Hidden Key Program, CodeRED, Project Lifesaver, Signal Preemption Project and the volunteer based Search and Rescue Program, Ryan says he is proud of the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office and their dedication to the County. Currently Ryan is working towards the completion of the 40 bed jail expansion project along with bringing back the Reserve Deputy Program and the Volunteer Sheriff’s Posse.
