Another Cricket Wireless Burglary

Another Cricket Wireless Burglary

Amador County Sheriff’s Office reports that for the second time in just over a week, somebody forcibly broke into Cricket Wireless in Martell and stole several items. Amador Sheriff’s deputies responded when the alarm was activated, discovered the burglary, and notified the owner of the break-in. The store owner quickly reviewed the surveillance footage to provide the sheriff’s office with a description of the burglar. When they started searching the area, a suspicious truck was found in the Amador Ridge Shopping Center. The suspect, 34-year-old Richard James Franklin of River Pines was nearby and arrested after they found numerous items stolen from Cricket Wireless in his truck. When his trailer was searched in River Pines, deputies found even more stolen property, linking him to several other burglaries in the county. Thanks to the owner of Cricket Wireless and the Jackson and Sutter Creek Police Departments for their help in solving several burglaries and likely preventing others from being victimized.
