San Jose Man Arrested For Car Break In

A San Jose man working on a tree mortality cutting crew has been arrested.  According to authorities, 18 year old Jonathan Vasquez was arrested in Angles Camp Sunday on charges related to attempted auto burglary and vandalism in the Calaveras Lumber parking lot.  After his arrest, Vasquez admitted to investigators that he was “showing off” to friends by attempting to break into the vehicle but offered no other explanation for his actions.  Vasquez also had an outstanding warrant out of Santa Clara County.  Calaveras authorities say, while the presence of tree workers in large numbers has been noticed and felt in the County, there have been few complaints to date and Vasquez was the first arrest.
