Drug Deal Turns Into Stabbing In Calaveras

A drug deal turned into a stabbing recently in Calaveras County. It happened on April 1st at 8:30 pm in turner Park in San Andreas. According to Sergeant Anthony Eberhardt, deputies were sent to a report of a stabbing and learned that a 22 year old man from Mountain Ranch was trying to purchase some marijuana at the park when a fight started. The suspect stabbed the victim with an “unknown instrument” and then left the park. A citizen called 911 and the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a minor laceration to his back. He did not provide much information to investigators, so they have no description of the suspect. They ask anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip Line at 754-6030 or the Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit at 754-6500.
