High Honors For Local Drama Clubs 

The 46th Annual Mother Lode Drama Festival came to Amador High School over the weekend and local drama clubs did well. Here are the results from Amador and Calaveras County students. Amador High received an Excellent rating and Bret Harte received a Good rating for their one-act plays. Emily Ann Hopkins of Amador High and Josh Girard earned Outstanding Individual Performance in a One-Act Play awards. Ethan Custodio and Jeremiah Vela-Murphy earned Special Achievement awards. In the male solo scene competition, Mac Cockeram of Amador took first place and Ethan Custodio of Amador took Third place. In the female solo scene competition, Alana Hein of Amador took third place. Conor Broderick and Matthew Arnold of Amador earned third place for their duo scene. And Sid Cohen of Amador won second place in the vocal competition.
