PG&E Temporarily Halts Tree Mortality Work

PG&E says they have temporarily halted tree mortality work after a tree worker died in an accident in Tuolumne County last week. 21 year old Jorge Moctezuma died after a 20 foot top section of a tree that he had just cut didn’t come completely loose, causing the tree he was on to swing back and forth, breaking the section he was tied to. PG&E’s Brandi Merlo says they have paused their work so they can review procedures with employees and contractors. They expect to resume sometime next week.
