The US Forest Service Is Giving Away Seedlings

Looking to add some trees to your landscape? The US Forest Service is giving some away. The Forest Service is donating ponderosa pine, douglas fir, incense cedar, sugar pine and white fir seedlings to homeowners. Depending on the variety, you can get anywhere from 20 to 200 seedlings. They can’t plant them because they can’t get to the planting areas before the season is over. So, if you want to reforest your property, just head to the Mi-Wok Ranger District Office in Mi-Wuk Village Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 4 pm and pick some up. They are first come, first served and you can’t reserve them, so head over soon if you want them.
