Don't Let The Cool Weather Fool You!

Don't Let The Cool Weather Fool You!

With a cool, wet spell of weather forecasted for today, and through the weekend, Cal-Fire officials say, don’t let that fool you. Fire season is well under way in the Mother Lode.  A number of recent grass fires have both Cal-Fire and local fire companies on alert for what, could be a busy season. While a date for a full burn suspension through the Amador-El Dorado and Tuolumne-Calaveras responsibility areas has not been set, remember only burn on permissive burn days and follow all local regulations. With the forecast of cooling temps into the weekend and a chance for rain, people should have a safe window to do any debris burning. Homeowners should also be reminded, not to burn if they feel it’s too dangerous in their area. It’s up to individuals to make the safety call based on conditions. Cal-Fire recommends, if it’s windy or a hot, dry day, don’t burn. Remember, “Safety First”.
