Jackson Has New City Manager

Jackson Has New City Manager

The Jackson City Council has appointed a new city manager.   Meeting first in closed and then open session at a specially scheduled meeting last night, the City Council voted to appoint Yvonne Kimble as City Manager.   Kimble is currently the City Manager of Dewey-Humbolt, Arizona.   The Council also approved an employee contract that will pay Kimble $110,000 per year, plus benefits.   Kimble will replace Mike Daley, who held the position for 17 years and retired earlier in the year.  City Planner Susan Peters has been serving as Interim City Manager.  The Council also continued to work on the City budget.  The City will be spending just under 4 million dollars from its General Fund for the year and continues to seek cost savings to close a projected budget deficit.
