Amador Schools Have A Budget for 2017-2018

The Amador County School District has approved its budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.  The School District plans on raising and spending 37 million dollars in total this year.  The vast majority of its revenue, 33 million dollars, comes from the State based on a formula know as the Local Control Funding Formula.   2.5 million comes from other state sources and 900,000 from the Federal Government.  The District will spend 14.2 million on teacher salaries this year, just under 5 million on Non-Teacher salaries, and 7.4 million on employee benefits.  The District plans to spend 1.7 million dollars on books and supplies.  The Board also approved the budget for the County Office of Education, which will spend some 12 million dollars this year.  The County office will spend 5 million dollars on teacher salaries, and 2.3 million on non-teacher positions.
