PG&E Goes To Burning Man?

PG&E is going to Burning Man!  Well sort of.  This year, PG&E is playing an unexpected role in the Temple at Burning Man.  The utility is donating all of the wood used to build the temple.  The lumber is coming from drought-stricken, pest-impacted dead trees that have been removed to reduce wildfire risk.  In all, PG&E is donating more than 100 logs. The trees recently made the trip from Tuolumne County to a Richmond sawmill.   After the wood is milled into lumber, it was transported to the Oakland warehouse where the design team and volunteers are creating a test assembly of the temple.  You can learn more about the wood that will be used in the Burning Man’s Temple, and why the building crew wanted to use this material on the PG&E website, pge.com/currents.
