Rescue On The Mokulumne Monday

Members of the Amador County Sheriff’s Swift Water Rescue Team were called out to the Mokelumne River on Monday. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a fisherman had been swept downriver and was stranded on a sandbar. PG&E employees working in the area heard calls for help coming from the river. They followed the calls and located the man and subsequently called 911. The Swift Water Rescue Team responded and were able to bring the fisherman back to safety. The man was a bit shook up, but was not injured.
