3 Wheel Car Wins Amador Derby

After the dust and radiator steam had settled a three wheeled 1979 Chrysler Cordova was the winner of the 2017 Amador County Fair Destruction Derby.  Car 911, driven by Kyle Wilson, lost its left front wheel within the first few minutes of the final round last night and within a few seconds of being timed out for inactivity, went on the win from a field of 15 cars.  Ken Julian in car B52 took second place honors and Darrin Gibson in car 10 took home third place.  Last night’s derby capped off  4 days of Fair in Plymouth.  Amador Fair CEO Troy Bowers says, while the final figures will not be available for a few days, from all indications attendance was up and that yesterday’s Junior Livestock auction could have set another record.
