Boil Water Order For Plymouth

Boil Water Order For Plymouth

Work to install a new water main for the city of Plymouth began last night and is expected to continue through mid-day. The work has required a treated waterline shutdown in the area to facilitate the project. Full water service is expected to be restored sometime after 10 or 11 this morning. The city notified residents in the surrounding area of the situation in order for them to prepare. Once the shutdown is complete and the water supply is turned back on, the State requires the city to take samples of the water to ensure it is safe to drink. This testing takes 48 hours to analyze, therefore during that time you should boil any water you plan on consuming (or used bottled water) until sample results are completed. Once the city knows the results of the tests are acceptable, you will be notified and can then resume using the water as you see fit. Ultimately this project will benefit the whole community.
