Another Water Shut Down For Plymouth

Another Water Shut Down For Plymouth

As a reminder, The Amador Water Agency has scheduled another treated water line shutdown in Plymouth. The shutdown will start at 5 tomorrow morning and could last for up to 24 hours and the city is notifying residents in the area of the shutdown. The agency is asking that during this 24 hour period that you conserve your water use. Once the work is completed and the water supply is turned back on, the state division of drinking water requires the city to take water quality samples to ensure its safe to drink. The testing will take place over two consecutive days and during that time you will be required to boil any water you plan on consuming (or use bottled water) until sample results come back and you are notified that the water is safe to drink. Boil order notices will be delivered door to door today, as a reminder to not drink the water until all water quality samples have been cleared. Ultimately this project will benefit the whole community of Plymouth. If you would like more information, or are affected during this work please contact either Damon Wyckoff at 257-5284 or the city of Plymouth at 245-6941.
