Four Men Arrested At Illegal Marijuana Grow In Railroad Flat

Four men were arrested yesterday morning at an illegal marijuana grow in the railroad flat area. According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s office, about 9:00 am, members of the Calaveras County Sheriffs Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at property on Ridge Road in Railroad Flat. The property was not registered as a commercial medical cannabis cultivation site through the Calaveras County Planning Department and investigators had previously identified several hundred marijuana plants growing at that location. Four subjects were arrested Wednesday for illegal cultivation of marijuana and conspiracy. All of these subjects are from Sacramento. One of the suspects was also charged as a felon in possession of a firearm and in possession of ammunition, and a set of body armor were seized. 503 marijiuana plants were eradicated as well as approx. 95 pounds of processed marijuana.
