Operator Error Lands Pioneer Man In Jail

Operator Error landed a Pioneer man in the Amador County Jail over the weekend. According to the Amador Sheriff’s Office, Saturday night a patrol deputy spotted a green enduro style dirt bike in the Red Corral area that was linked to a reported armed suspect earlier in the week. Peter Alan Doty, the driver of the dirt bike, was speeding and crossing over the double yellow lines so the deputy attempted to stop him. Doty fled and the deputy gave chase. The pursuit ended on Dunshee Road in Pine Grove when Doty decided to go off-road into the woods. The deputy and a CHP officer chased after him on foot. Doty lost control on wet terrain and the officers were able to apprehend him without further incident. Doty was arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail for evading, being in possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a license.
