Sex Offender Charged With Crimes Involving An Underage Person

A Jackson man, who’s already registered as a sex offender, has been charged again with crimes involving an underage person. Dylan Ray Mills recently plead not guilty in Calaveras County Superior Court to seven felony charges related to having sex with a person under 18, meeting a minor for lewd purpose and showing sexual interest in children or engaging in lewd behavior. During his appearance, Mills also denied seven other enhancement allegations that he committed a felony within five years of a previous felony conviction. According to court records, the charges were based on a sequence of events in which Mills allegedly met with an unidentified minor on at least two separate occasions in Valley Springs. Mills, has been a registered sex offender since 2014. He is in custody at the Calaveras County Jail on $200,000 bail.
