Escaped Debris Burn Only One Day Into The Burn Permit Lift

One day into the burn permit lift, and Cal Fire along with local fire crews have already responded to an escaped debris burn in Fiddletown. At around 10:24 this morning cal fire and local fire crews responded to an escaped debris burn in the area of Fiddletown Road near American Flat Road. It was first reported by crews on scene at 2 acres in size with a slow rate of spread and quickly moved to 12 acres with a moderate rate of spread. However fire crews were able to make good progress with a wet line established at 10 acres with no homes threatened. Cal Fire and local fire agencies remind us that fire season is not over and that cal fire burn permits will be required until the end of fire season. Property owners are asked to use caution and follow all guidelines provided and to maintain control of their fire at all times.
