American Legion Post 108 To Honor Pearl Harbor Day Tomorrow

Bottom of Form

TTomorrow is December 7th, “A date which”, President, Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed, “Will live in infamy.” On this date in 1941, 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The attack came as a profound shock the American people and led directly to the American entry into World War II in both the Pacific and European theaters. The following day, December 8, the United States declared war on Japan and on December 11, Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S. Again this year the American Legion Post 108 will honor those who fought that day and those who died that day. The public is invited to stop by the Post on Sutter Hill tomorrow at 9 A.M. to observe Pearl Harbor Day. There will be hot Coffee, O.J., donuts and muffins.
