New Playground Equipment For Mollie Joyce Park

New Playground Equipment For Mollie Joyce Park

TTThe The Board of Supervisors approved up to 150,000 dollars in new playground equipment at Mollie Joyce Park in Pioneer and an emergency permit to allow the Jackson Valley Quarry to work extended hours. Meeting Tuesday morning, the Supervisors signed off on a request from the Amador Recreation Agency to release money for the construction of a playground structure at Mollie Joyce. The county’s park plans have long called for a playground to complement the existing youth sports fields already in place. The money comes from impact fees collected on new housing construction in the up-country area. The Supervisors also approved an emergency permit that lets the Jackson Valley Quarry have an extra day of operations. The waver was granted to allow the completion of a project shoring up levees along the Sacramento River ahead of the rainy season. The board also heard reports on the state of mental health services in the county, and the so-called SEED program, which provides public utilities funding for solar power projects.
