CCSO Kept Busy Thursday At Another Illegal Marijuana Grow

Members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team were kept busy Thursday as agents served their second search warrant for an illegal unregistered indoor marijuana grow, this time at  a residence on Milton Road, Valley Springs.   This operation was an independent investigation from the other indoor marijuana grow seized earlier in the day.  Upon arrival, deputies found the entire house had been converted for marijuana cultivation.  2,025 marijuana plants were seized ranging in size from small seedlings to tall mature marijuana plants.   28 year old Sian Huang was arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation and maintaining a place for the purpose of unlawfully selling, giving away, or using any controlled substance (commonly known as “operating a drug house”).  Although Huang listed his address as the Milton Road house, he had a New York Identification card in his possession. He was booked into the Calaveras County Jail with $30,000 bail.
