PG&E Shells Out Millions In Property Taxes

Seems like everybody is paying their property taxes today…Pacific Gas and Electric Company shelled out more than $230 million to the 50 counties where the energy company owns property and operates gas and electric infrastructure.  Amador County’s share comes to $1,078,087, that’s up $83,906 or 8 percent and Calaveras County received $993,921, that’s up $104,651 or 12 percent.  The utilities property tax payments help provide crucial resources to the many communities, supporting everything from education to public safety.   The semi-annual property tax payments made today cover the period from July 1 to December 31, 2017.
