Sutter Health's Adopt-a-Family Program Creates Christmas Magic

Sutter Amador Hospital and affiliates throughout Sutter Health showed their holiday spirit  this year by generously donating thousands of holiday gifts to families in need as part of Sutter Health’s Adopt-a-Family program. Truckloads of gifts were delivered to more than 250 families in 10 counties in time for Christmas.  Sutter Amador’s Jody Boetzer, senior development officer who helped organized gift donations from the Sutter Amador Foundation Board said, when these gifts arrived at the homes of the families on Christmas, the children woke up and believed that something magical happened and it is so heartwarming to be a part of that.  Sutter Amador Hospital sponsored those families served by Nexus Youth and Family Services, which supports low income and families experiencing hardship in Jackson, Ione and Pine Grove.  Sutter Health has supported the Adopt-a-Family program for the past 10 years, generously providing needed supplies and gifts to less fortunate families from Amador County to Yuba County.
