Ione PD Hosts First Permanent Medicine Collection Bin In Amador

Ione PD Hosts First Permanent Medicine Collection Bin In Amador

The Ione Police Department has recently been recognized for hosting the first permanent medicine collection bin within Amador County! This collection bin allows Amador residents to safely dispose of their unwanted, controlled and non-controlled medications. The “Don’t Rush To flush” project provides safe and convenient disposal bins for unused pharmaceuticals in California counties. Proper disposal of unused prescription medications will keep them off the streets, out of the hands of our children and out of our waterways. “Don’t Rush to Flush” is funded through various grants. Unwanted medications can be dropped off at the Ione PD on Main Street, please call ahead at 274-2456 and to find out more about the “Don’t Rush To Flush” project, visit dontrushtoflush.org
