Amador School Officials Work On Safeguard Methods In Response To Last Weeks Tragic School Shooting In Florida

In response to last week’s tragic shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida, that killed 17 people, Amador County School Officials are working on methods to safeguard our local schools and children. Earlier this week Sutter Creek Police Chief Jim O’Connell worked with all Amador County Unified School District principals and vice principals to share strategies for emergency preparations and school safety. The District has also reached out and is working with other law enforcement agencies in the county too. A board report, providing information about what the district is doing to keep our schools safe, will be presented at the February 28th board meeting.
