The Buena Vista Rancheria Breaks Ground

A partnership between Caesars Entertainment and the Buena Vista Rancheria was announced on Friday.   The $168 million casino project off Coalmine road, near Buena Vista, will be developed, owned and operated by the Buena Vista Rancheria, while Caesars will license the Harrah’s name to the tribe and manage and maintain the 71,000-square-foot property once the casino is operational.   Rhonda Morningstar Pope-Flores, chairwoman of the Buena Vista Rancheria said on Friday that, “Harrah’s is a world-class brand that is known for offering a fun gaming atmosphere with unparalleled customer service.   Caesars CEO Mark Frissora said the agreement with the Buena Vista Rancheria advances the company’s growth strategy to expand their brands into new markets and reinforces an over 20-year history working with tribal partners.  Going by the name, “Harrah’s Northern California Casino”, ground breaking ceremonies were held at the site this past Wednesday.  The property should open in 2019 with 950 slots, 20 table games and different restaurant options.
