Plymouth City Council Officially Accepts The Plymouth Traffic Circle

The Plymouth traffic circle has been officially accepted by the Plymouth City Council. Meeting last night, the City Council voted to formally accept the work done on the intersection of Highway 49 and Main Street.  The vote formally completes work on the roundabout that was almost two years in construction and many more before that in the planning stages.   The Council also voted to accept an easement along Shenandoah Road east of Highway 49.  The easement will provide public access for a new sidewalk that will provide a safe walking path from Main Street to the Shenandoah Charter School.    The Council also approved a contract for a traffic study to look at the impacts of new industrial and high density residential properties being added to the city.
