 CCSO Served Several Search Warrants For Illegal Marijuana Cultivation 

Over the past few days, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Teal has served search warrants for illegal marijuana cultivation. On Wednesday, Sheriff’s Deputies served search warrants at adjoining properties along Fullen Road near Murphys. Three subjects were initially detained upon arrival and deputies found illegal marijuana cultivation spanning across the two properties. 647 marijuana plants were eradicated and approx. 93 pounds of marijuana in various stages of processing were seized. One subject, John Le, of San Jose, was arrested for-- illegal marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, and maintaining a drug house. He was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail.

On Thursday, Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at a property on Railroad Flat Road in Railroad Flat. No subjects were located on arrival, but deputies found evidence that approximately 4,000 marijuana plants had recently been hastily harvested leaving behind partial plants. Deputies eradicated an additional 2,309 marijuana plants from this location. These cases are both still under investigation.
