PG&E Continues Helicopter Patrols Of Its Power Lines

PG&E helicopter patrols of its power lines in Amador, Calaveras Counties will continue today. The flights are related to the utilities accelerated wildfire risk reduction work. As we reported earlier this month, given the dramatic wildfire threat the foothills face this year, PG&E is taking immediate action to create even greater safety clearances between trees and power lines in neighborhoods and communities that face the most extreme fire wildfire-threat. The areas of Amador and Calaveras County include Pine Grove, Pioneer, Buckhorn, West Point, Wilseyville, Railroad Flat, Glencoe, Hathaway Pines, Avery, Dorrington, Arnold, White Pines and Sheep Ranch. Flights are scheduled for today, then will re-zoom Oct. 13,15, 24 & 25. Flights are subject to change without notice and for more information call PG&E at1-877-295-4949.
