With days left in Campaign 2018, the following campaign finance numbers are being reported for competitive races in Calaveras County. These donations were received from September 25th through October 20th. In the race for supervisor District 3 incumbent Supervisor Michael Oliveira reported $1,849 in donations, which brings his total to $23,978 for the year. His largest recent donations were $950 from Sierra Pacific Industries and $500 from Sheet Metal Worker Local 104. His challenger Merita Callaway, raised $8,577 to bring her total to $37,870 for the year. Her largest donation was $500 from Deborah Harley of Murphys. In the Supervisor District 5 race, incumbent Supervisor Clyde Clapp has raised $417, bringing his total for the year to %5,653. His challenger, Benjamin Stopper raised $399, adding to his total of $24,665 for the year. In the Calaveras County Sheriff’s race, appointed incumbent Rick Dibasilio has raised an additional $2,345, bringing his campaign total to $23,978. His largest recent donation was $2,000 from Gentium Golf in Valley Springs. The challenger in the race, Gary Stevens, has raised $3,249 recently and a total of $39,586. His single largest donation is $500 from Pam Cornell of Mountain Ranch.
