Amador Fire Crews Battle Early Morning Blaze

Amador Fire crews stopped an early morning fire off Stoney Creek Road. According to reports, at approximately 5:00 A.M. this morning a structure fire was reported in the 7000 block of Stoney Creek Road. Upon arrival of the first engine, it was reported that a structure had been destroyed and approximately 2 acres of grass was burning. Additional resources were ordered. The fire was ultimately contained (forward progress stopped) at approximately 4 acres. CAL FIRE responded with multiple engines, a hand crew and dozer. Additional resources included Jackson City Fire, Jackson Valley FPD, City of Ione, Amador FPD, and Sutter Creek Fire.

Stoney Creek Road was closed at Hoffman and Argonaut Lane and at Pardee Dam during the fire and mop-up operations.
